Wil Anderson, a popular Australian comedian, writer, presenter and podcaster, was born on 31 January 1974 in Sale, Victoria. He went to Gippsland Grammar School in Sale and later attended the University of Canberra where he studied Journalism & graduated top of his course.
He began his career as a newspaper journalist & eventually ended up being a standup comedian. During 1996-98 he appeared in shows like Good News Week, RMITV Show Under Melbourne Tonight, What’s Goin’ On There? He hosted ABC’s comedy talk-show The Glass House from 2001 to 2006 for which he got nominated for the “Most Popular Presenter” award at the Logies in 2007.
From April 2007 to November 2008, Anderson joined with Tony Lehmann to host Wil & Lehmo, a radio show. During 2008, he became producer & host of ABC’s talk-show The Gruen Transfer. He has done a number of Live shows & performed at numerous festivals like the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, Canada and released at least 7 recordings till 2015. He is currently working on free podcasts. Wil has been accorded with many accolades for his work.
