I had terrible experience dealing with “The Good Guys” as I purchased kitchen goods last months for $5000, Sales order number S0270398964 Docket No. D0271193428
Firstly my 2 years old son got hurt in store (Auburn, NSW) and there was no first aid available in the store, I was shocked to see the response from the staff but by that time I took the decision to buy so I didn’t back out. Here I am not blaming the store for the accident as he just slipped over the floor by himself.
Secondly, the worthy sales girl asked to buy ASKO & I agreed, then I had the worst time of year 2016 dealing with ASKO & The Good Guys collaboration, every day the delivery driver was calling me and instructing me that he will come between 12-3 or 11-2 and it carried on for 3 days & no one came, than I had to call THE GOOD GUYS auburn and ASKO intermittently I learnt a lesson that THE GOOD GUYS just recommend ASKO brand and claim the sales margin only I had to find a way to deal with ASKO by pleading and accepting of being guilty of my purchase decision.
Thirdly, I called after a good two weeks to “The Good Guys” store Auburn and enquired about my non ASKO products delivery and they were not aware if it is not delivered! They promised me of a follow up call, I got a call next day that the delivery will be arranged soon. I informed the girl again that I do not live at the delivery address and I have to make some arrangements for receiving the goods so please give me clear timeline of delivery
Lastly I got a message from the delivery guy and it was the rudest message I received
”the good guys auburn will be delivering your products tomorrow between 12.00pm and 4.00pm Please reply ‘ok’ for confirmation,
    No calls TEXTS only
    **please note**
If you’re NOT home we will NOT wait
    No exceptions on times”

I had to call the store again and ask for a 2 hours window instead of 4 hours and I was preached for 10 minutes on the Christmas rush and delivery practices by other companies by the store manager. But he gave a piece of advice that I should provide the feedback if it wasn’t a greatest of experience.
I am expecting the delivery today but next time if I see ”the good guys” signage I will not visit that place again here, I am talking about the signage only not the actual store !

  2. I had ordered and paid a 20% deposit for a mini sound system for a Xmas present on 09/12/16 sales order no. s0660339140 which was advertised on the good guys net. One week later I called to see if the sound system had arrived, The store manager told me that there were over 100 of these units in other branches but they were unable to have one delivered to Canberra until mid January Bad Service Bad Guys

  3. I ordered and paid for a fridge on 27/12/16. I have had no delivery email as promised on my receipt and consequently have not received my fridge. It is now 6/1/17! I have emailed as there is no contact phone number. And the email has not been answered! How do I find out if I’m going to receive my fridge or both?

  4. Purchased a TV on boxing day, 3 weeks later the tv was not working properly, after calling Samsung who advised that it would take 5 days or so for someone to get back to us we decided to call “concierge service” that we paid extra for who don’t operate Sundays, we tried calling the store, after 15 attempts they finally answered the phone and said everyone was at lunch!! So I decided to call a different store, that Manager was more than helpful he even came to our house with another remote control. The problem could not be fixed, but he noticed that our receipt did not match the TV that we had purchased. When we called the shop the next day letting them know the salesman denies making a mistake, he said that we wanted that model. the Good Guys are more like the “Bad Guys” as they dont care about their customers at all. We are never buying from them again, we will let all our family and friends know about the terrible service as much as we can. I’m surprised that they have managed to stay in business this long.
In the end they delivered a new TV to us but it was for the model noted on the receipt, and not for the original TV we had purchased.
