They are rude , arrogant and will not provide any email , telephone number or contact name for a representative in Australia. They have not even looked at the tv and have left us without any resolution and no working tv to date . THESE ACTIONS ARE APPALLING AND TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DOWNRIGHT CRIMINAL .

I purchased a Sony camera which had an offer of a AUD150 prepaid card. Firstly, the prepaid card was not sent to me as promised and I had to contact Sony multiple times before I finally received the card in the mail. It was not immediately obvious that I had to activate this card within 3 months as this condition is embedded in a very long list of terms and conditions. When I tried to use the card at a shop check out, the card was not able to be used. I contacted Sony and was told the card could not be used as I had not activated it within 3 months, even though the expiry of the card is 1 year and the card had not expired. By imposing this 3 month activation on customers, it effectively means the card has a 3 month expiry as the card is rendered useless if you don’t activate within 3 months, even though the expiry is 1 year. I contacted Sony customer service several times and they say they cannot send a new card as the promotion is over. This card still is within its expiry date and surely Sony can send a new card to replace it. Not one dollar of the AUD150 has been used and this money is still with Sony. I find this attitude surprising and puts me off being a loyal Sony customer. Once a customer switches brands, Sony loses out on not just the initial purchase of the camera body, but also the many accessories that photographers purchase for their cameras.

I now find that, whilst I can load the CD software onto my new computer, the software doesn’t work and to add insult to injury, is not supported by Sony!
Solution: Don’t buy Sony products in the future and put the word out to friends and relatives about their scheme to get you to buy later products.
