Established in September 2009, Slowbeer is Australia’s first craft beer store. They specialise in a range of local microbreweries as well as international brands from all around the globe. Their exiting and progressive stock consists of more than one thousand different beers.
Along with their bottled range, the company aims to support their regional beer industry by encouraging the sale of local beers. They are among the first in Australia to give this service.
The company inaugurated its new store in April 2012 which is located in Richmond, nearer to the City. Getting inspired from European Bier Café, they brew their beer with a special twist.
Their objective is to grow the idea of Slowbeer by offering on shop consumption of all the packaged brews. Slowbeer additionally offers an assortment of craftsman cheddar, cured meats and jam from regional and abroad makers.
Slowbeer opened its second branch in 2016 at Smith St, Fitzroy. There they provide an extensive range of draught beer. The shop offers 5 beer taps and the area of the store is much bigger than the one located in Richmond. It has a lounge and a pool table located upstairs which is available for rent in case of any event.
