Mitchell Starc is an Australian left-arm fast bowler and a left-handed batsman. Starc has ability to swing the ball at a good pace and currently, he is the leading wicket-taker bowler of the Aussie Team
Mitchell Aaron Starc (full name) was born on 30th January, 1990 in Baulkham Hills, Sydney, New South Wales. Starc started playing for Berala Cricket Club, Sydney as junior cricketer. He played for his school team, Homebush Boys High School as bowler and wicket-keeper. Starc was also a team member of Norther District Cricket Association. He made his debut at 19 playing for New South Wales. In 2015, he won Man of the Tournament award in which New South Wales won.
Starc is married to Alyssa Healy who is also a member of Australia’s Women Cricket team, since April 2016. Mitchell Starc has a Slovene accent. His brother Brandon Starc is an Australian Olympic High Jumper.
Mitchell Starc made his test debut against New Zealand in 2011, one day debut against India in 2011 and T20 debut against Pakistan at Dubai. Starc was selected in the team because of series of injuries happened to Australian bowlers at that time. Currently, he has a record of taking 100 wickets in 52 innings in one day international matches and joined Joel Garner and Ryan Harries having lowest bowling average in one day matches. Mitchell Starc received the Man of the Tournament in ICC World Cup 2015.
Mitchell Starc has played for Sydney Sixers in Big Bash League, New South Wales in first class career and Royal Challengers Bangalore in Indian Premier League. He supports Great Western Sydney Giants and Australian Football League.
