Keisha Castle Hughes born in 1990, March 24 on Donnybrook, Australia to mother Desrae Hughes, who was a Maori and father Angio and he was an Australian. Actually her parents never got married and they got separate. She moved to New Zealand with her family when she was only of 18 months old. She is older to three brothers and one sister. She went to Waiuku Primary School, Penrose High School, Bailey Road School and went to Rosehill college of Auckland.
Castle started her career with her debut movie Whale Rider and she was in main role of Paikea Apirana in 2002. Castle directly went to the shoot from her classroom of Auckland, even she had not any previous work experience of acting and she nominated for Academy Award nomination in 2004 at 76th Academy Awards for best Actress. After that she signed for many movies and till the time she has worked in 16 movies and one movie is still on shoot. She has nominated for 8 movies and won 6 awards in her filmy career. She worked in a very famous TV serial The Game Of Thrones season 5 and she played the role of Obara Sand.
