Aaron Finch is a top order Australian right-handed batsman and former T20 captain for team Australia. He is commonly called by the name ‘Finchy’ by his teammates.
Aaron James Finch was born on 17th November, 1986 in Colac, Victoria, Australia. Finch made his debut in one day internationals against Sri Lanka in 2013 and T20 debut against England in 2011. He has a record for playing the longest innings in T20 international cricket against England with 156 runs in just 63 balls hitting 14 sixes which also is a record.
Aaron Finch played as junior cricketer for Colac West Cricket Club and represented Australia in U-19 Cricket World Cup in Sri Lanka in 2009. He played domestic cricket for the first time in 2009-10 and made a record partnership with David Hussey of 212 runs for 3rd wicket against Tasmania. He is the first player to score 1000 runs in Big Bash League. He also played for Victorian Bushrangers in Champions League T20 in 2010 in South Africa.
Aaron Finch has played for Victorian Bushrangers, Gujarat Lions, Delhi Daredevils, Yorkshire Vikings, Melbourne Renegades, Auckland Aces, Pune Warriors India and Rajasthan Royals in various domestic T20 and county cricket competitions besides playing for Australian National Cricket Team. His specialty is hard-hitting and match finishing skills.
