Keith Urban is one of the most popular Australian country music singer, songwriter, guitarist, musician, TV show judge and record producer. He was born on October 26, 1967, in Whangarei, North Island, New Zealand as Keith Lionel Urban. He attended Sir Edmund Hillary College, New Zealand at the age of 17.
He released a self-titled debut album in 1991 and charted four singles in Australia. In 1992, he moved to the U.S.A. & started working as guitarist with a band named The Ranch. In 1999, he released his first American eponymous album & chart with “But for the Grace of God”. “Somebody Like You” was the most popular single in his next Capitol Album Golden Road (2002). The album’s fourth single, “You’ll Think of Me” had earned him his first Grammy Award. His other studio albums are Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Thing (2006), Defying Gravity (2009), Get Closer (2010), Fuse (2013), Ripcord (2016).
He also appears as a coach on the Australian version of the singing competition The Voice and as a judge on American Idol & introduced his own signature line of guitars and accessories in 2013.
