Isabel Lucas is an Australian actress, activist and social worker. She acted in Home and Away (2003-06), Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009), The Pacific (2010) and also supports and works animal rights and cancer patients’ welfare.
Isabel was born (29th January, 1985) in Melbourne, Victoria to Beatrice, a special needs teacher and Andrew, a pilot. She lived in Cairns, Queensland in early days, also attended St. Monica’s College there. She also lived in Switzerland and Kakadu. She has been present in the industry since 2003. She went to Victorian College of Arts and Queensland University of Technology to learn acting.
Her agent, Sharron Meissner got her an audition for the role of Kit Hunter in Home and Away. The producers created a new role for her, Tasha Andrews on the show for which she got a Logie Award in 2003. In 2009, she acted in Vampire-Sci-Fi movie Daybreakers. She was working with Steven Spielberg on The Pacific, a World War II miniseries, she was selected for the role of Alice in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen after recommendation from Steven Spielberg. She was cast in remake of 1984 movie Red Dawn in 2009, then as Goddess Athena in Immortals (2011), Knight of Cups (2011) and Careful What You Wish For (2014).
Lucas is a vegetarian and an activist for protest against hunting of wildlife and aquatic life. She also speaks for Australian National Breast Cancer Foundation.
