Claire Rhiannon Holt is an Australian actress and famous for her roles in H2O: Just Add Water as Emma Gilbert and also for roles in The Vampire Diaries and The Originals.
Holt was born on 11th June, 1988 in Brisbane, Australia. She went to Stuartholme School in Toowong in 2005. During those years, she was involved in sports activities such as swimming, volleyball, Tae-Kwon-Do (black belt) and water polo.
In 2006, she appeared on Australian TV show H2O: Just Add Water as Emma Gilbert. This show earned Logie Award and Nickelodeon Australia Kids’ Choice Award. In 2007, she signed for the sequel of the film The Messengers, Messengers 2: The Scarecrow. In 2011, she confirmed her appearance on this show The Vampire Diaries as Rebekah Mikaelson and on The Originals with same name.
In 2015, she starred in NBC’s Aquarius, in 2016, in romantic comedy The Divorce Party. In 2017, she will star in 47 Meters Down as Kate.
Claire got engaged with her boyfriend Matthew Kaplan in July 2015 and got married in April 2016. On April 27, 2017, Kaplan filed for divorce and in May 2017, Holt filed for name changing from Kaplan to Holt
