Regarding the article titled, Failing the teachers in schools; for once it would be nice to have an article about teachers that doesn’t continually put us down. As a teacher in my 20th year and having worked with thousands of students, hundreds of teachers and engaged with parents and other external parties, people will NEVER understand the heartache teachers go through every single day to make a difference.
Yesterday I went home with bruises that came about in my duty of care for a child-but was the child left feeling safe, happy and felt good about themselves at the end of the day, you bet! For once let us look to the decision makers, the politicians vying for votes and then retract everything they say, the way the universities are set up to educate the new teachers that are coming through and give us, the ones at the front line a break! Thank you.
