Andrew Christopher Denton professionally known as Andrew Denton is an Australian comedian, TV producer, TV presenter by profession. He is a Gold Logie nominated TV presenter. Andrew hosted Australian Broadcasting Corporation weekly TV interview program Enough Rope and Australian Broadcasting Corporation game show Randling. Andrew was born on 4th May 1960 in Sydney, Australia. His father Kit Denton is a writer & author of novel The Breaker.
The comedian completed his school education from Roseville Primary School in Sydney, Blue Mountains Grammar School in Wentworth Falls and Guildford Grammar School in Perth. Denton completed his graduation with Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Charles Sturt University in 1982. During his college days, he was involved in campus radio station 2MCE. Andres started his media career with Australia radio Stations as a writer. He later went on to writer and host his own show. Andrew made his first TV appearance with Australian Broadcasting Corporation TV series The Investigators. Andrew did his first feature-length documentary God on My Side. Denton won ‘Most Popular Light Entertainment Personality’ award in 1994 and 1995, ‘Most Popular Comedy Personality’ award in 1996, ‘Most Popular Presenter’ award in 2005, 2008, 2009 and ‘Gold Logie Award for Most Popular on Australian Television in 2008 and 2009. Denton currently lives Sydney with his wife Jennifer Byrne who is a TV presenter.
