Alyssa Sutherland was born (23rd September, 1982) in Brisbane, Queensland. She went to Craigslea State High School in Brisbane. Her modelling began in 1997 when she participated for Bonne Belle model Search of an Australian teen magazine, Girlfriend. She won it and signed a contract with Vogue, Australia.
She has had an extensive modelling career, appearing in campaigns for Vogue, Ralph Lauren, Bulgari, Hugo Boss, Calvin Klein, Chanel, Garnier, Abercrombie & Fitch and many more. Alyssa shot for many magazines and editorials for Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle and Marie-Claire in European, North American and Australian countries. She is known to have worked with famous photographers such as Steven Meisel, Bruce Weber, Herb Ritts and Ellen Von Unwerth. In 2007, Cadbury revived its TV ads and cast her as Flake Girl.
Her acting career includes films: The Devil Wears Prada, Day on Fire, Don’t Look Up, and TV series New Amsterdam. Sutherland appears as Princess Aslaug on Vikings.
