Adam Hills, a popular Australian comedian and radio and television presenter, was born in Sydney, Australia on July 10, 1970, without a right foot. As a child, his parents encouraged him to take part in gymnastics, football and cricket. He graduated with a degree in Arts from Macquarie University in 1991. He is married to opera soprano Ali McGregor & has 2 daughters.
Adam started doing stand-up comedies at the tender age of 19 while studying journalism, after being inspired by Peter Sellers, Bill Cosby, Billy Connolly and Robin Williams. In 1989, he first appeared in comedy scene at the Sydney Comedy Store. He had performed in various solo shows & did a number of tours including Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and the Montreal Just For Laughs festival. His solo shows are Stand Up and Deliver (1997), Life Is Good (1998), My Own Little World (1999), Goody Two Shoes (2000), Go You Big Red Fire Engine (2001) – Perrier nominee, Happy Feet (2002) – Perrier nominee, Cut Loose (2003) – Perrier nominee, Go You Big Red Fire Engine 2: Judgement Day (2004), Characterful (2006), Joymonger (2007), Inflatable (2009), Mess Around (2010), Mess Around (2011), Adam Hills Stands Up Live (2012), Happyism (2013), Clown Heart (2015). He also worked as a columnist for the BBC’s disability website Ouch!

Dear Mr Hills, I enjoy your show but find the routine use of the F*ck word to be a time wasting distraction. The use of that word has no comedic effect if it is not used for emphasis or to drive home a pint., especially when it is used by Josh Widdicombe who is the weak link of your trio. If you watch early Billy Connelly shows you will see that he is much funnier when he is not wasting time by using F*ck routinely. Unfortunately , more and more British comedians are helping to destroy their comedy that way. Perhaps you could start a movement to try and reduce the use of the word except when it makes genuine impact. Thanks.
